Big Walk 2012

The Big Walk does not happen every year but in those that it does it is the highlight of Activities Week and a fantastic way for the school to round off a successful year.

This year was no exception to the rule when all the hard work put in by Ms Kennedy, Mrs Bewley and the team (not to mention the cheque sent to the weather gods!) really paid off. A fantastic day was had by all with the students exemplary in all aspects and wonderful cooperation from parents with the late change to drop off/pick-up arrangements.

Not only was the day itself a huge success but the sponsorship money has been coming in steadily. As I write the total stands at £6895 with more coming in every day. We are hoping to surpass previous records and the quicker it comes in the quicker we can get it to the charities which need our support to do the amazing work that they do. With that in mind could we place this as a gentle reminder to parents to check that the money has come in. If it has not some encouragement to our young people would be most welcome.
