Helping WaterAid

On Tuesday 19th November it was ‘World Toilet Day’. This was to raise awareness of the 2.5 billion people around the world who don't have access to a safe, clean and private toilet.

With the help of local people and partners, every year WaterAid build thousands of toilets to the communities who really need them.

Key Stage 3 Citizenship classes have spent the week supporting the work WaterAid do by participating in their ‘Thank You Toilet’ campaign. Hundreds of bright toilet seat designs have been created to raise awareness and show our appreciation of the humble toilet! Some of the designs contain thank you messages, whilst others have thoughtful poems and colourful details.
