A Taste of Media

Year 12 Media Studies students visited Bournemouth University to attend a Media and Communications insight day on Monday 7th July.

The students took part in a range of activities including the filming and editing of Live Television. The students worked together with learners from other schools towards presenting, filming, sound recording, directing and editing a Magazine Style television programme.

The work produced in a relatively short time frame was incredible and the University tutors were very impressed with how they took to Broadcasting. The day is designed to give students a taste of what it would be like to study and work within the Media beyond the Sixth Form. It was a very successful day which saw a few budding presenters and directors emerging from the group!
