The purpose of their visit was primarily to view the science department but also to enhance and forge new links with our near neighbours. A representative from the Science Learning Centre in Southampton was there to offer advice on the courses and resources that they can provide.
Discussions between technicians covered the new practical requirements in A level and GCSE courses, interschool training needs and an exchange of service providers. The whole event, which lasted approximately 2 hours, was a huge success and was found to be beneficial to all who attended.
