As part of the 2018 Year of Engineering, 10 of our Year 8 students attended the Siemens STEM Careers Day at their offices in Poole.
Our budding engineers had a fantastic afternoon taking part in hands on activities and speaking to apprentices. They were given the opportunity to code a real traffic light using a micro:bit, create their own electronic circuit and have a tour of the UK’s largest traffic light factory.
The event was a great success and our students were able to get an insight in to some of the careers on offer within Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
