Continuing our series on Careers in the Music Industry a big thank you to live sound engineer Chris Caton and producer John Doe for delivering two excellent sessions giving our musicians an insight into the day in the life of the Music Industry.   

Chris opened our eyes to the diversity of roles for an engineer taking us through his work at a wide range of indoor and outdoor venues including the festival events with the BSO, his work in top end studios such as Abbey Rd and the BBC Maida Vales studios, and his work on live broadcasting with the BSO Digital Concerts.   

John took the time to explain the process of becoming a producer and publishing your own music with an excellent insight into artist management, record labels, streaming & royalties and some very wise advise on how to be successful in a competitive market.
