Well done to all our musicians for representing Highcliffe School and for their exemplary conduct and focus throughout the weekend.   

The annual New Milton Music Festival is a prestigious music competition for schools across the BCP and Hampshire areas which this year saw over 800 participants. This year also saw the 25th anniversary of the festival which was commemorated with a composition specially written and performed by over 150 players including the Highcliffe musicians. The Gala Concert on the Sunday saw showcase performances from Highcliffe Brass and Highcliffe Percussion.

Congratulations to the following musicians in their solo classes:   Brass soloists: Daniel (g3 solo, gold medal), Destiney (g4 solo, silver medal), Xander (g5 solo), Sophie (g5 solo), Katie (g6 solo) and Amelia (g6 solo, gold medal) and duets: Sophie & Katie (intermediate class) Other soloists: Katie (joint 1st place Harp), Sophie (joint 1st place Musical Theatre singing age 13+ and Recorder trio 1st place) Sophie (grade 5 violin 2nd place)
